change : clearing away the clutter

The ‘change’ process is actually about clearing away all our clutter and being more and more comfortable with being the already wonderful self that we are
We all have ‘clutter’ that gets in the way of us being direct, honest and fully present with another person. Some of this clutter is our projections on to other people, some of it is our habitual ways of avoiding fear or anxiety, some of it is our inability to remain calm and centred and ‘disconnected’ from the myriad of thoughts and feelings that can take us into a reactive state, The process of developmental change is about (1) simply noticing all the ways we show up when we are in different situations, (b) simply noticing our habits and patterns, (3) beginning to ‘step back’ from these habits and patterns and to be able to choose whether or not to react in this way.
